PHP Developer (Laravel, Vue, SQL)

Location: Manchester, Office Based (5 days)

We're currently looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join a busy development team working on scalable, high-performance web applications for a growing tech business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a modern, well-architected codebase and be part of an engineering-led environment that values clean code, performance, and developer autonomy.

The successful candidate will have strong experience working with PHP and Laravel, alongside solid frontend development skills using Vue.js (2 or 3), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. You'll be responsible for developing new features, improving existing functionality, and contributing to overall architecture decisions within a cooperative, cross-functional team.

Key technical requirements include strong PHP and Laravel experience, proficiency in HTML and CSS (with frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap), solid SQL knowledge (MySQL or SQL Server), and frontend expertise with JavaScript and Vue. Experience with Git, Linux-based development, and a sound understanding of object-oriented programming principles are essential. Knowledge of microservice architecture is highly beneficial.
