Lead Software Developer

Overview of company and key focus of the position

A global e-commerce company that helps online retailers grow internationally, allowing them to efficiently and quickly generate profit with relatively low investment. Their innovative IT platform currently supports over 350 companies from various industries, including fashion, sports, and automotive.

As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for further developing their customer portal and building new features on a solid foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will lead the further development of our PaaS customer portal, which allows our customers to manage their projects, process orders, manage returns, and much more;
• You work with an existing codebase (Laravel back-end and Vue.js front-end) and build on it to quickly add new features and improve existing functionalities;
• You translate functional issues of customers into technical solutions and provide a well-designed, scalable, fast and user-friendly platform;
• You will work closely with the team and ensure that all developers work and code in the same way, with a focus on quality and documentation;
• You will help us convert our traditional services to a SaaS model and automate processes where possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant work experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong knowledge of Laravel, REST APIs, MySQL and a front-end framework (preferably Vue.js);
• Experience in building portals and managing complex data and process flows;
• Knowledge of ClickUp (or similar project management tools), automatic deployments, and working with acceptance and test environments;
• Experience with Docker; knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus;
• Experience with payment providers and subscription management (e.g. Stripe) is a plus;
• A proactive and solution-oriented attitude, with the ability to switch quickly and implement new features;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team;
• A good command of the Dutch and English language;
• Ambition, motivation, and a proven track record in creating successful applications.
