About Your Role

We’re hiring a Senior Business Specialist for the Technical Strategy & Transformation Department to help shape the future of QR Engineering and Maintenance. This Doha-based role offers a unique opportunity to work on high impact projects that influence how we make data driven decisions across aircraft lifecycle planning, cost modeling, performance forecasting and operational strategy. You will be the go-to expert for integrating aircraft maintenance lifecycle demand and costing profiles to support strategic decision-making across the Engineering and Maintenance functions. Think of this role as being the bridge between analysis and action, you will be turning complex data into powerful insights that guide how our technical teams operate across the business. You will collaborate closely with teams across Technical business units, Finance, Strategy, and Transformation, turning ideas into measurable outcomes, using data to drive better decisions and continuous improvement. If you are passionate about performance insights, systems thinking and influencing change through evidence this role will give you the platform to lead it.

About Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate asset maintenance lifecycle demand and costing profiles to support medium to long term planning and performance forecasting, at both aircraft fleet and across maintenance function levels
  • Provide high-quality, reliable information and analysis to inform strategic initiatives and technical department objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capture key business and functional cost drivers, capacity requirement, and translate them into clear, reputable metrics and reporting frameworks for senior management.
  • Design, implement, and refine data models that systemize and streamline complex operational and strategic data to support strategy and target settings.
  • Serve as a key contributor in linking and communicating data insights across all areas of the Engineering and Maintenance departments and broader business functions.
  • Lead and manage industry benchmarks and market research using global data sources, industry best practices, and comparative analytics to guide internal performance improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness at aircraft fleet level and across business functional level.
  • Support the development of business cases and strategic initiatives with quantitative and qualitative evidence.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Data Analytics, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial, business analysis or strategy roles within engineering maintenance or asset-intensive industries
  • Exposure in managing or contributing to large-scale, cross functional projects, with the ability to manage multi-layered, diverse teams and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Excellent knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Experience in deriving insights from data and submitting actionable recommendations to management.
  • Experience is setting in preparing and giving presentation on business performance to middle and senior management
  • Experienced in developing complex modelling and simulation
  • Ability to collaborate and influence colleagues and senior executives in line with designed frameworks and strategic concepts
  • Systematic and logical approach to problem solving and a capability of working around problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas/concept to stakeholders
