Senior Program Manager (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking a talented Senior IT Program Manager willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.


This role involves anticipating and mitigating risks, promoting disruptive innovation, and fostering strong business and IT relationships. The ideal candidate will lead through influence, inspire teams, and set up robust performance metrics to ensure the success of strategic IT initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Oversight

  • Lead cross-functional programs aligned with our IT strategy and portfolio, ensuring they drive business value and achieve key objectives.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to anticipate business and strategic evolutions, aligning program initiatives with long-term business goals.
  • Identify and promote disruptive innovations within IT processes to stay ahead of market trends and industry standards.

Risk Management and Mitigation

  • Proactively identify and anticipate potential risks in programs and projects, devising risk management strategies to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans, ensuring teams are prepared to handle unanticipated changes.

IT Strategy and Business Relationship Management

  • Strengthen relationships between business and IT, promoting alignment of goals and improving communication to foster collaborative success.
  • Engage with senior leadership to communicate program objectives, gain buy-in, and drive strategic value.
  • Contribute to IT portfolio management by evaluating, prioritizing, and aligning program initiatives with the overall business and IT strategy.

Agile Methodology and Change Management

  • Implement Agile methodologies across program teams, enabling flexibility, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion change management initiatives to support organization-wide transitions, ensuring stakeholders are prepared and supported through change.

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Establish relevant performance indicators and KPIs to measure program success, facilitate continuous improvement, and track project milestones.
  • Regularly report program progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership, offering insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.

Leadership and Team Engagement

  • Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve program goals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
  • Mentor and guide program teams, creating opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Communicate a compelling vision and align team efforts toward shared objectives, generating commitment across all levels.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile) preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in program management or a similar role within an IT or business setting, with a proven track record in risk anticipation and managing large-scale programs.


Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate IT strategy into actionable business initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of IT processes, disruptive innovation trends, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influence skills with the ability to inspire and build strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
