Frontend Developer for 8 months

Office Location: Zurich, CH (near the main station “Zurich HB”)

Hybrid work: Tues-Thurs in the office. Monday & Friday remote.

Duration: 8 months (June 2025 – February 2026)

We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve.

Your responsibilities

• Build functionality related to YouTube uploads, potentially participating in the development process across the stack (TypeScript frontend, C++ backend, native mobile code).
• Improve the maintainability of the team’s codebase, tests and internal tools.
• Develop new frontend components by working with UX partners.

Your skillset

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development.
