Business Analyst - 12 Month Contract, EU Ops Sustainability & Packaging

EU Ops Sustainability & Packaging is looking for a Business Analyst to join our On-The-Road Sustainability team and help attain key sustainability goals using data-backed solutions and tracking impact across the organization. In this role you will work with senior leaders across multiple teams (Worldwide Sustainability, technology teams, senior leaders, operations, business intelligence, etc.) to solve complex data and analytics problems.

In this role you will extract and manipulate data to gather insights and partner with business intelligence teams. You will be responsible for recommending technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Key Functions Include

Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses, to drive key business decisions

Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

Define the data elements to enable analytical and reporting capabilities, and work cross-functionally with other research teams when needed

Support reporting for weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews

Utilize data to support software product decisions for feature development, prioritization, and to identify and address improvement opportunities

Work closely with Data Engineers to build automated processes for large scale data analysis

Manage backlog of analytics requests; prioritizing most important tasks while communicating expectations and timing of deliverables to stakeholders

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and develop a porfolio of tools and reporting to accomplish business team's goals and charters. You will learn the ins and outs of all facets of Operations Sustainability, and be a trusted partner to teams by sharing data-driven insights and actions based on deep understanding of the business. You will deliver strong results ranging from reporting, automated insight generation, advanced analytics, comprehensive datasets, at standards that raise the bar for the rest of the organization.

About The Team

EU STEP brings together Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning teams to improve end-to-end forecasting, network flow, planning, and execution. It also brings together our teams from across the business focused on our Operational Excellence pillars - Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES), Learning, Quality, Service, Sustainability and Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Field teams. This integration strengthens operations and execution while driving quality improvements and enhanced customer experience across the entire value chain.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
  • Experience writing complex Excel VBA macros
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with SQL or ETL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Experience using very large datasets
