Backend Developer (Java)

Our client, a leading provider of technology consulting and engineering solutions, is seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join their team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is fully on-site.

Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary

This client will accept both contract or perm.

There is no sponsorship provided with this client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems, services, and APIs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and implement features that align with product goals.
• Identify technical requirements and assist with planning and development of new features.
• Write automated developer tests for new and existing features.
• Ensure low response times and optimal performance across services.
• Take ownership of new products/features from development through to deployment.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Java development, including microservices, REST, and GraphQL.
• Proficiency in databases (relational and non-relational).
• Experience with Spring Boot and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).
• Problem-solving and debugging skills.
