Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist ( Located in Liberia )

We are hiring a Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist to join our Cost, Budget & Reporting team based in Monrovia, Liberia. This role plays a critical part in designing and maintaining reporting systems that support cost tracking, budget performance analysis, and financial reporting across the mining operation.

The position operates on a 66 days on / 18 days off rotation and offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to strategic financial oversight in a large-scale industrial setting.

• Develop and maintain Power BI and Qlik Sense dashboards to monitor cost performance, budget utilization, and variance tracking across departments and cost centers.
• Extract, transform, and load data from ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and other databases using Python-based ETL scripts and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with cost engineers, finance analysts, and operational departments to define reporting requirements and convert them into automated, user-friendly visualizations.
• Build data models and calculate KPIs using DAX, Power Query, and Qlik Sense expressions aligned with budgeting and cost control logic.
• Prepare and automate monthly reports, forecasts, and performance review packs for senior management.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of cost tracking tools and reporting templates used during the annual budgeting process.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability across all cost and budget reports.
• Provide documentation and training on BI tools and dashboards to relevant stakeholders.
• Support compliance with internal control and audit requirements by ensuring report accuracy and transparency.
• Participate in department-wide initiatives to improve the financial planning and reporting infrastructure, including centralized data repositories and documentation standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar technical field).
• 2–4 years of experience in BI development, financial reporting, or cost control functions, preferably in mining, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI and Qlik Sense, with experience in dashboard development, data modeling, and custom calculations.
• Advanced working knowledge of Python for ETL scripting and data automation.
• Solid command of SQL for extracting and joining large datasets from relational databases.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and financial modules such as cost center accounting and budget tracking.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to interpret complex datasets in financial context.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to relocate to Liberia and work on a 66/18 rotational basis.
