IT Director

EMEAA Tech People is partnering with a leading technology company to hire an experienced and strategic IT Director to lead and scale their IT operations across the Middle East. Based in Dubai, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technology vision and infrastructure of a fast-growing, innovation-driven organisation.

The Role:

As IT Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organisation’s IT strategy, infrastructure, systems, and security. You will lead high-performing teams, ensure the reliability and scalability of technology operations, and align IT initiatives with broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise system initiatives.
• Oversee the management of IT operations, including networks, systems, and service delivery.
• Drive digital transformation projects, automation, and process improvements.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with data security, regulatory, and risk management standards.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and operational excellence.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Currently based in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading IT strategy, digital transformation, and large-scale system implementation.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, enterprise applications (e.g., ERP/CRM), and IT governance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
