Senior CICD DevOps Engineer

Please note that this is a permanent position, and we do not offer freelance or contract arrangements for this role.

The CICD Pipeline Capabilities (CICD PC) squad is responsible for standardizing, enhancing, evolving, and maintaining our build and release capabilities. The team actively engages with development teams and technology stack owners to set up build and release standards and recommended approaches. By establishing standardized pipeline capabilities, we aim to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate the delivery of software!

Responsibilities:

• You will contribute to the creation and implementation of standards for all CICD pipelines delivering on-premises (Linux and Windows) as well as on Azure Cloud.
• In developing these standards, you will collaborate closely with developers, testers, and infrastructure authorities (system engineers, security engineers, Cloud engineers, DBAs, etc.).
• You will contribute to the YAML template catalogue in Azure DevOps, which is used by developers to define the YAML pipelines.
• You will maintain and improve the build and release infrastructure.
• You will define operational self-services for DevOps and operational teams.
• You will contribute to the CICD design of applications and ensure they follow internal guidelines and CICD practices.
• You will support the adoption of new CICD capabilities and the improvement of the CICD framework at Euroclear.
• You will provide second-level support to Production Operations and be available for on-call duties during certain weekends.

Requirements:

Crucial Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Azure and Azure DevOps
• Expertise in Azure DevOps agents/agent pool configuration
• Strong knowledge of self-hosted agents (server & container)
• Experience in implementing market CICD security standards (OWASP)
• Extensive experience with YAML pipelines and developing YAML templates
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts and using Terraform
• Knowledge of container-based applications and related build and deployment technologies and hosting platforms (Helm, OpenShift, AKS, ACI)
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud

Nice to have:

• Experience with Ansible (Tower) and PowerShell
• Familiarity with IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus
• Knowledge of Kafka
• Understanding of .NET and Java technologies
• Experience with API management (APIM, APIC)
• Understanding of security and architecture concepts (clustering, load balancing, DMZ)
• Familiarity with Agile practices
• Scripting skills in PowerShell and Node.js

• Good verbal communication skills in English
• Strong interpersonal skills to work in a high-availability environment, with a focus on the controls required to ensure the required service levels

Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
