Business Analyst

TITLE: Functional Business Analyst

LOCATION: Remote

OVERVIEW

The Functional Business Analyst will be responsible for working with both business and technology partners to create specifications for business related system enhancements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with business partners to create business specifications, working with technology partners to refine business requirements into technical specifications that can be used to build technology solutions. Must have very strong technical knowledge and communication skills and be able to partner well with all areas of the organization. Must be an independent worker and be able to independently drive results. Qualified candidates should be able to lead project related meetings and independently fact find and document a system change or enhancement from the beginning of the business ask to the specified requirement document that will be used for the build.

• RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with business partners to gather and document business specifications for system enhancements.
• Collaborate with technology teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Lead project-related meetings, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Independently manage the end-to-end process of system changes or enhancements, from initial business request to final requirement documentation.
• Conduct thorough fact-finding and analysis to document system changes accurately.
• Communicate status updates and progress effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet both business and technical requirements.

• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED5+ years of experience in technology based business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of technical requirements and implementation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and lead projects involving complex systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of technical data analysis and APIs.
• Proficiency in project management, including planning, monitoring, and testing.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience in translating requirements for different audiences.
• Familiarity with the retirement industry is preferred.
