Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Security Engineer to support day-to-day network and data center operations. This role involves hands-on support for network infrastructure, wireless connectivity management, basic DNAC and SD-Access operations, and collaboration platform troubleshooting including Webex devices. The ideal candidate should possess foundational experience in enterprise networking environments and a willingness to support both physical and logical network layers.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Data Center & Network Infrastructure Support
- Install and decommission network devices (switches, routers) in data center racks
- Perform cabling between racks and between Data Center (DC) and TER rooms
- Label, tag, and update barcodes/serials of network devices
- Coordinate device RMA with ISP vendors and OEMs
- Change and test fiber cables and structured cabling as required
B. Wireless & DNAC Configuration Support
- Assist in wireless LAN management tasks, including AP installations and replacements
- Basic configuration of WLC (Wireless LAN Controller) and DNAC for:
- User port setup
- AP onboarding and troubleshooting
- RMA processes and connectivity testing
- Perform basic SD-Access-related support and troubleshooting under guidance from senior engineers
C. End-User and Collaboration Support
- Provision and troubleshoot end-user connectivity issues (wired/wireless)
- Configure and test Webex devices, Cisco codecs, and third-party AV/collaboration equipment
- Coordinate with AV/collaboration teams for deployments and escalations
- Conduct basic checks for IP clocks, attendance devices, wall displays, and related endpoints
D. Network Documentation & Inventory Management
- Maintain updated network diagrams and cabling layouts
- Conduct physical inventory checks and document device status
- Support connectivity and device management for TER rooms and remote locations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Electronics, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in network operations, wireless, and Security infrastructure support
- knowledge and hands-on exposure to:
- Cisco DNAC platform
- Wireless access point setup and WLC configuration
- SD-Access environment basics
- Security Device management
- Webex Room Devices and Collaboration tools
- Familiarity with enterprise network topologies and structured cabling
- Strong coordination and documentation skills
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) – Required
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Preferred
- Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Wireless or Collaboration – Bonus
- ITIL Foundation (optional)
- Firewall (Cisco/Paloalto/Fortinet
Work Conditions:
- On-site work across data centers, remote branches, and end-user premises
- Rotational shifts or extended hours during critical activities
- Physical handling and movement of network/AV equipment required
