About the Position
My client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Contractor) with strong SQL expertise and business insight to support a new project focused on developing leadership reports from pharmaceutical data related to quality and patient safety. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work cross-functionally to ensure the accurate translation of business needs into technical solutions.
You will be instrumental in building robust SQL pipelines, collaborating with engineering teams, and translating complex data into actionable insights. While domain knowledge in healthcare is a bonus, it is not essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret pharmaceutical data with a focus on quality and patient safety metrics
- Build and optimize SQL pipelines to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and support report development
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure smooth delivery of data solutions
- Assist in testing, validating data, and resolving data-related issues
- Support leadership in data-driven decision making through dashboards and reports
Experience/Requirements
Required Skills:
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and pipeline development
- Strong analytical and data mapping capabilities
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in data visualization using Power BI
- Experience with troubleshooting data and code issues
- Experience with Databricks and Azure
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Exposure to US Healthcare or Pharma Data (advantageous but not required)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience facilitating workshops and documenting business requirements
