Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f)

Experis IT Luxembourg is actively looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f) for one of its clients in Luxembourg.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to examine the current AI model infrastructure and pinpoint areas that deviate from standard frameworks, proposing refinements to create a resilient system for future large-scale projects.
• Design a template architecture for scaling machine learning solutions, incorporating data orchestration, training workflows, evaluation protocols, version control, automated release pipelines, and performance oversight including drift analysis.
• Ensure seamless compatibility with existing ecosystems such as cloud-based platforms, DevOps toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps), observability utilities, and enterprise data systems.
• Utilize hands-on knowledge in platforms like SAP BW/4, Azure Synapse, and SAP’s evolving Business Data Cloud to support system compatibility and scalability.
• Build and assess experimental implementations (PoCs) to highlight ML’s added value in domains like flight process enhancement, predictive analytics for revenue, crew planning, and safety evaluation.
• Offer expert advice on information architecture, responsible model usage, and streamlined deployment strategies to oversee end-to-end ML lifecycle management.

Your profile

• Degree in IT or any related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ background in the data analytics or artificial intelligence field.
• Solid grasp of statistical techniques used in machine learning, including their assumptions and integration—practical experience with traditional methods like ANOVA or hierarchical models is a plus.
• Proficient in programming with Python and adept in querying with SQL.
• Demonstrated experience handling the full pipeline of model development, from inception through to production maintenance.
• Hands-on involvement in operationalizing ML using DevOps and MLOps practices.
• English fluency.
