Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning tools testing, reporting, install cables or optics for new circuits. physical cabling, cable

management, northbound cabling, (Fiber/Copper/Power).

2. Support network and server teams by assisting with rack and stack and running cables.

Planned/Predictive maintenance or circuit migration support

3. Labelling, patching, and asset tagging activities, perform installation as needed either through

physical or network medium.

4. Follow specific task instructions and provision necessary reporting as necessary and support either

through phone, remote tools, or in person at onsite.

5. Conduct failure analysis, perform functional testing of entire system/Identify failed Component,

planned maintenance or circuit migration support.

6. Reseating or swapping new line cards

7. Making, crimping and testing RJ45 Copper Cables

BreakFix/Technical Task List:

1. Cleaning fibers, replace the faulty optical cable. Installing loopbacks, BER testing

2. Inserting/removing/replacing defective components. Linecards, Fibers, etc... Assist with fault

diagnosis and investigation with RMA Processing.

3. Configuring remote access, basic storage array configuration, replacing faulty cables.

4. Rebooting linecards, chassis or reseating of cards/optics

5. Providing loop-back cables to test circuits remotely, re-seating or replacing components or cables
