Firmware Engineer – ARM Cortex for Industrial Control Systems

We are partnering with one of our clients to find a Firmware Engineer with deep expertise in ARM Cortex-based systems. In this role, you will help design embedded firmware for high-efficiency motor controllers, inverters, and smart industrial devices. You’ll work at the intersection of hardware and software, optimizing code that directly powers real-world machines.

What You’ll Be Working On:

• Developing embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-R based microcontrollers used in motor control and power conversion systems.
• Implementing and tuning real-time control loops, signal processing routines, and safety features for industrial applications.
• Collaborating with hardware, test, and systems teams on PCB bring-up, validation, and end-to-end system performance.
• Working with low-level drivers, RTOS environments, and high-reliability bootloaders.
• Supporting EMC and safety testing requirements for industrial certifications.

You’ll Excel In This Role If You Have:

• 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong command of Embedded C/C++ and experience working close to hardware.
• Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex MCUs, especially STM32, NXP, or TI platforms.
• Understanding of control systems, PWM, sensor interfacing, and ADC/DAC tuning.
• Experience with FreeRTOS, bare-metal development, and debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to power electronics hardware (inverters, PFCs, converters).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (IEC 60730, ISO 13849).
• Worked on fieldbus or industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, EtherCAT).
