The Role:

Cloud & Infrastructure monitoring

• Monitor infrastructure health across cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) including compute, storage, network, container workloads, and databases.
• Use tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK to observe system resource utilization, uptime, and performance bottlenecks.
• Define and tune alert thresholds to prevent false positives and ensure early detection of real issues.
• Identify and respond to anomalies such as high CPU, memory leaks, disk I/O bottlenecks, or network saturation.

End to end customer journey monitoring

• Proactively monitor real-time customer journeys including registration, login, deposits, gameplay transactions, and withdrawals using synthetic and real-user monitoring (RUM).
• Detect and escalate drop-offs, failed transactions, or slow steps in the user flow.
• Use application monitoring tools to observe customer-centric KPIs.
• Collaborate with Product and TechOps teams to ensure visibility of funnel performance and customer-impacting issues

Website & application performance monitoring

• Track website and API performance including page load times, response latency, and error rates.
• Monitor frontend errors, slow-loading pages, broken assets, and degraded components affecting the user experience.
• Generate and maintain performance dashboards and automated alerts for key web and mobile application metrics.

Incident detection & response

• Act as the first line of defense in identifying and escalating service-impacting incidents.
• Triage alerts based on severity, business impact, and SLA requirements.
• Log incidents accurately and escalate to the Incident Manager and relevant technical teams according to defined escalation paths.
• Participate in real-time incident bridges/war rooms to support diagnostics, recovery, and stakeholder communication.
• Support post-incident reviews and RCA processes with timelines, logs, and system insights.

Third party services & integration monitoring

• Continuously monitor third-party service health including authentication, payments, KYC providers, and streaming services.
• Detect failed API calls, latency spikes, and degraded third-party performance.
• Escalate to external vendors per support agreements and collaborate on incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Maintain awareness of SLAs and support terms with external service providers.

Collaboration with integrated support teams

• Work closely with TechOps, DevOps, and Product teams to improve observability, alert quality, and incident response coverage.
• Escalate suspicious activity (e.g., repeated login failures, unusual API behaviour, traffic anomalies) to the Security Operations Center (SOC) following defined playbooks.
• Support SOC investigations by providing relevant logs, metrics, and contextual data from NOC monitoring tools.
• Participate in joint incident response efforts for critical or cross-functional incidents involving service or security impact.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews (PIR) and knowledge base documentation to drive operational maturity.
• Proactively identify and suggest improvements to monitoring coverage, alert thresholds, and response workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing or Cyber Security related field
• MS Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• ITIL certification
• Linux Administration

(One or many of these qualifications are preferred).

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud security operations within a regulated industry.
• Monitored infrastructure and application performance using tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Tuned alert thresholds and reduced false positives by optimizing monitoring rules and metrics.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS Platforms
• Hands on experience with custom dashboards and alert policies to ensure high system visibility and rapid response.
• Hands-on experience in automated scripts and tools for health checks and routine operational tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving, Troubleshooting and Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
