Information Security Intern

We're looking for an Information Security Intern to join our team for 6 months in our Amsterdam office. This role requires you to be in the office twice a week.

✅Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with the Information Security Team to assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Cyber Program.
• Support the review and update of documentation such as policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
• Contribute to security risk assessments and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
• Support the team in monitoring and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives and training programs for employees.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of security-related issues.
• Support the vulnerability management activities.
• Support compliance audits against institutionally accepted security controls.
• Record and track IT security incidents, including but not limited to e-mail threats, and abuse reports from various sources.

✅Essential

• Must hold a diploma of bachelor’s degree within a relevant field of study
• Strong interest in security and cybersecurity
• Good understanding of security principles and practices is a plus
• Knowledge of ISO standards like ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO27701, is a plus
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Ability to work in dynamic and fast pace environment with flexibility to adapt to changes in priority
