About wheel.me

At wheel.me, we’re redefining how autonomous systems integrate with the real world.

We develop robotics infrastructure from the ground up — combining custom hardware, embedded systems, real-time robotics software, and cloud-based management solutions. Our core innovation is Genius, the world’s first autonomous wheel, which turns passive carts and equipment into mobile, intelligent robots with smart navigation through edge computing in complex, real-world environments.

We’re based in Oslo, with a global mindset and a growing network of customers and partners. We design and test our robots in-house, and we ship software that controls physical systems in live environments — not just in simulation.

We are seeking a skilled & experienced Test Developer to ensure the quality and performance of our autonomous robot systems. You will play a critical role in designing and executing test frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, execute, and improve automated test frameworks and manual regression test suites.
  • Perform functional testing of wheel.me’s autonomous robot systems and platforms.
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
  • Collaborate closely with software development teams to ensure strong focus on end-to-end product quality.
  • Actively participate in agile development ceremonies, user story design and quality reviews.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide regular reports on test results and quality metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and explore new testing methods, tools, and workflows to enhance testing capabilities.
  • Provide guidance on testing best practices and keep the team up-to-date with trends in the testing discipline.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and test pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in test development, including designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Selenium, pytest, or similar).
  • Experience with functional testing of complex systems, ideally in robotics or embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Passion for robotics and innovation.

What We Offer

  • A dynamic, innovative, and collaborative work environment.
  • A young, forward-thinking, and international team.
  • A centrally located office at Skøyen, Oslo, with excellent public transport connections (2-minute walk from train, bus, and more).
  • Opportunities to work on cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities.
