Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay range: $58 - 72/hr
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Type: Hybrid - 2 days per week- could change. Will need to be flexible for days. Monday to Friday- core business hours

Summary of Duties:

• The Business Analyst will write and drive the Requirements Strategy, Requirements Package, and oversee approvals gathering.
• Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
• Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
• Leading collaboration with business/Journey and/or technology/Platform stakeholders as appropriate to lead, analyze, document, and manage business requirements.
• Assessing, documenting, and validating current and future state processes, understanding the problem statement and business needs to deliver effective solutions that address business problems, align to strategic business goals, and risk appetite
• The Business Analyst collaborates on delivery, testing, and implementation activities to support business benefits and achieve business results/outcomes.
• Applying best practices for effective communication, relationship management, and problem-solving with stakeholders/partners
  
  

In Addition:

• Cross-functional Analysts, meaning candidates who have been both Client and BSAs.
• From a technical perspective, Data analysis skills are an asset, such as mapping data flows, data retention, and system interactions
• Asset would be Six Sigma certification.
• Experience working within a Scaled Agile environment.
• PO experience will be an asset.
• Ideally, looking for candidates who have worked on large/strategic legal/risk initiatives.
  
  

Required Experience:

• 6 plus years of experience
  
  

Must have skills:

• BA experience
• Requirements Gathering
• Work in Ambiguity
• Hybrid Agile PDLC experience
• Self-starter
• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with various stakeholders
  
  

Nice to have:

• Data analysis skills (mapping data flows, data retention, system interactions)
• Worked on similar projects- worked on large/strategic legal/risk initiatives.
• Banking experience
• Regulatory OR compliance OR risk mgmt experience would be STRONGLY PREFERRED

• Varied experience, working at different organizations, teams, and time sets deliverables. Concise and brief.
• Looking for strong communication- verbal and written.
