Innovation Project Manager, Nonwovens

For the area of Innovation, located in Lenzing, Upper Austria, we invite R&D experts to submit applications for the role of Project Manager, Application Development - Nonwovens.

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

• You will work alongside internal and external partners on the initiation, planning and execution of projects for the development or optimization of fibers for nonwoven applications at lab, pilot, and commercial scale
• You will plan, supervise and evaluate pilot and commercial trials
• You will manage interfaces with labs, pilot lines, operations, product management, quality, legal, business development, sales, technical customer service and downstream partners
• You will be involved in the execution of literature and patent research
• You will initiate and draft product and application patents
• You will participate in the drafting and presentation of scientific publications

Your ideal profile

• You have an Academic degree (university, FH) in Chemistry, Textile/Nonwoven Engineering, or one of the natural sciences
• You have experience in cellulose acetate tow production
• You are experienced in Nonwoven processes, such as carded spunlace, carded needlepunch, carded pulp, airlaid, wetlaced and/or wetlaid
• You are a problem solver with exceptional analytical skills and strong project management skills & experience; Six Sigma, DOE and SPC experience would be beneficial
• You are a creative, self-motivated self-starter with good communication skills and experience in working with cross-functional topics
• You are fluent in English, and have a willingness to travel
