C/C++ Embedded Software Technical Lead (Medical Device Sector)

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a C/C++ Embedded Software Technical Lead (Medical Device Sector). The role is a permanent position based in Bern Canton with good home office allowance.

Your Role:

• Technically lead the Software Development in the field Medical Devices.
• As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), drive the design & implementation of core software architecture components.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers & Domain Experts to provide technical guidance, support planning processes & contribute to cost estimation efforts.
• Actively engage in Agile team ceremonies, including PI planning, sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Develop & maintain high-quality technical documentation in compliance with the IEC 62304 standards.
• Support innovation & product maintenance efforts, ensuring scalable & future-proof software solutions.

Your Skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Embedded Software Engineering, ideally including experience in a Technical Lead or Team Lead function.
• Strong know-how in Developing Low-Level (“bare metal”) Software using C/C++.
• Well accustomed with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum &/or Kanban.
• Experienced in of working within Highly Regulated Industries, ideally including in the Medical Device sector.

Your Profile:

• Completed Higher Education / University Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Skilled in leading technical initiatives & influencing project direction & outcomes.
• Proactive, strategic & solution-oriented with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written), German language skills are considered a plus.
