Head of Software Design & Development

We’re currently looking for a visionary and experienced Head of Software Design and Development. As our Head of Software, you will lead the design, architecture and development of mission-critical software systems that power our next-generation autonomous and robotic platforms.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Overall management of the software development department (planning, organizing and controlling all software design operations);
• Managing staff schedules and optimize employees workflow;
• Keeping detailed records/reports of software design activities and regularly reporting it to the management;
• Reviewing and approving software solution, ensuring they meet technical specifications, standards and regulatory requirements (code review, solution review etc.);
• Working closely with other departments such as Manufacturing, Procurement and QC to ensure seamless integration of software solution into products;
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members and helping to resolve complex design challenges;
• Proposing improvement of business processes and operations inside software department;
• Take part in hiring process for department (conducting technical interviews, review of the test tasks etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of experience with embedded systems (C language);
• Understanding of OOP concepts;
• Practical experience with Python programming;
• Good understanding of Git version system;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as Team Lead;
• Experience with software architecture design and development;
• Understanding and experience with computer networks (TCP/IP, VPN, other) is a strong plus.
