Job Summary – JAVA Developer (Wisconsin DOT)

- Lead role in modernizing Wisconsin DOT web applications.
- Migrate applications to Spring Boot and upgrade Java versions.
- Update presentation layers using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular/React).
- Move applications to containerized (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) hosting environments.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to teams regarding modernization and architecture.
- Develop and implement automated testing methodology and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
- Advise on microservices architecture and roadmap for migration.
- Solve complex technical challenges and support enterprise-wide applications.
- Work within Agile/Scrum project management methodology.
- Hybrid role: 40% on-site in Madison, WI – must be a current WI resident (no relocation).
- Target candidates: 5+ years Java, 4+ years Spring, 3+ years Angular, 2+ years Microservices, 3+ years DevSecOps and automated testing.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Interview: Online/Webcam.
