Security Officer Risk and Compliance, Arnhem

We are seeking a Security Risk Manager to join a dynamic team within a prominent organization responsible for ensuring the stability and security of critical infrastructure. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can drive risk management initiatives, support integrated security operations, and contribute to the overall safety and reliability of essential systems. You will collaborate with various teams to assess and mitigate security risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements For This Role

• A degree (HBO/WO) in Security, Sustainability, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Risk Management and/or Information Security
• Expertise in conducting security risk assessments, analyzing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001, along with practical experience in applying these standards
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and security laws, particularly in technical sectors like energy or infrastructure
• A valid information security certification from recognized frameworks such as ISO 27000
• Proficiency in Dutch (B2 level or higher) and a professional level of English

• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex security issues for diverse stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on stakeholder management
• Leadership qualities, particularly in team-based environments, with the ability to guide and collaborate effectively
• High adaptability and assertiveness, allowing for quick adjustments in a dynamic environment
• Empathy and trustworthiness when engaging with internal and external partners
  
  

Preferences

• Background in the energy sector or other technical industries, with insight into their unique information security challenges
• In-depth knowledge of applicable legal frameworks, such as NIS 2, is a significant advantage
• Prior involvement in implementing security awareness programs and risk management workshops
• Experience working in a hybrid work setting, with the ability to manage responsibilities both remotely and on-site
