An exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding Human Resources Generalist - AU Retail to join our dynamic Human Resources Team for a 12-month fixed term contract to support with the end-to-end functions of the Human Resources Team supporting our AU Retail Teams. This role will be full-time and based in ZIMMERMANN's Head Office in Rosebery.
Reporting to the HR Manager (Retail), this role will provide support to the Human Resources Team, Retail Managers and Retail Teams across all areas of the HR function - recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, compliance, work health safety and payroll.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a “hands-on” proactive approach and thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new team members.
- Update and maintain company policies in line with any updates to procedures or legislation.
- Manage the employee off-boarding process, including but not limited to notifying IT and facilitating Exit Interviews.
- Support with all recruitment requirements for the AU Retail Teams including preparing and posting job advertisements, sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates whilst championing Diversity and Inclusion.
- Partner with the HR and Retail Leadership team to provide resolutions for Employee Relations issues.
- Facilitate all visa requirements for existing and prospective employees and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Coordination of training sessions in collaboration with Retail Leadership team.
- Work closely with Payroll to ensure all team member information is accurately recorded and any enquires are responded to in a timely manner.
- Coordinate Parental leave requirements across Retail teams.
- Maintenance of Payroll schedule to capture all new employees, exiting employees and changes to employment.
- Support in driving work health safety requirements and initiatives.
- Assist with the annual appraisal process.
- Participate and support the wider HR Team in Special Projects, including but not limited to: Seasonal Recruitment, Training materials - Interview guidelines, ZIMMERMANN's Annual Careers Day.
Required skills and expertise:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Tertiary level Human Resources qualifications
- Diligent and highly confidential
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with candidates, team members, hiring managers and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Experienced with a HRIS or Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team player
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
