Embedded Software Engineer – RISC-V for Smart Consumer Devices

Are you passionate about building the firmware that powers tomorrow’s smart devices?

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our hybrid team in Valencia, working on RISC-V–based embedded platforms for consumer electronics and connected smart devices. You’ll work closely with hardware and systems engineers to bring efficient, secure, and reliable embedded applications to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, test, and maintain low-level embedded software on RISC-V microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Interface with sensors, actuators, displays, and wireless modules in real-time environments.
• Work closely with hardware teams to optimize system performance and support bring-up.
• Contribute to bootloader development, peripheral drivers, and system-level integration.
• Support debugging, documentation, and validation efforts across the lifecycle.

You Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills for microcontroller environments.
• Hands-on experience with RISC-V architecture or familiarity with similar open embedded platforms.
• Experience interfacing with I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and low-power peripherals.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal development.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to BLE, Wi-Fi, or LPWAN protocols.
• Familiarity with open hardware ecosystems and toolchains (e.g., Zephyr, PlatformIO, OpenOCD).
• Experience in consumer electronics or connected IoT product development.
