Title - Entry-Level Production Designer, UI/UX
Job Description:
As an Entry-Level Production Designer, UI/UX, you will support the design and delivery of engaging digital experiences for CIBC Wealth Management clients and advisors. Working closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of pages, components, and design assets across a range of web and mobile platforms. You will help bring ideas to life by applying visual and interaction design best practices while ensuring alignment with brand and accessibility standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design Production & Support
• Assist in creating and updating UI designs, wireframes, and mockups for web and mobile platforms.
• Prepare production-ready assets and design specifications for development.
• Implement updates based on established design systems, templates, and brand guidelines.
Brand & Accessibility Standards
• Maintain consistency across digital platforms by adhering to CIBC’s design systems and style guides.
• Ensure visual assets meet accessibility requirements (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and comply with brand standards.
• Source and treat images in accordance with brand guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, content creators, and developers to deliver polished user interfaces.
• Participate in design reviews and team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions.
Must haves:
- 1. 2+ years of experience in Production design and UX/UI experience
- 2. You have formal education and/or relevant training in digital product design, interaction design, and / or UX/UI (certifications/bootcamps)
- 3. You have a strong understanding of UX and UI best practices, including UI design patterns, usability heuristics, and interaction design principles.
- 4. You are knowledgeable about designing for digital platforms, including mobile, desktop, native, responsive, and adaptive design.
- 5. You are proficient in Figma (e.g., using assets and libraries, layout and pixel grids, building and using reusable components, prototyping) and Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- 6. Previous banking experience working in servicing platform (Wealth or retail banking)
Nice to have:
- • Familiarity with basic UX research practices or user testing.
