Senior Front-End - UX/UI Designer - Remote - European candidates

We are looking for a remote Senior Front-End - UX/UI Designer for an International Institution in Bonn with +5 years of Front-End and UX/UI Design experience.

Selected candidate needs to be willing to go to Bonn for occasional on-site presence over the length of the project (once/twice for about 4-5 days monthly or every 2 months).

EU candidates are welcome to apply and be based in Europe. Work permit is not provided.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing of the UI/UX, single page applications using JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, new features and functionality, ensuring high‐performance, and managing all technical aspects;
• Contribute to the design of intuitive submission interfaces, accessibility improvements, and support usability testing;
• Design data-centric interfaces and contribute to the refinement of user journeys and data interaction flows;
• Define interface specifications, improve end-user workflows, and maintain design consistency across modules;
• Support interface consistency, improve workflows using Power Platform tools, and advise on form usability and accessibility;
• Develop and maintain user journeys, mockups, and interaction diagrams for Drupal content structures and design systems;
• Tailoring, enhancing and adherence to standards, processes and methods for the development and maintenance of system components;
• Reviewing deliverables of Developers and other Senior Developers to ensure required quality standards are met;
• Reporting progress and status of own work and team’s work;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• +5 years professional JavaScript development experience in single page applications;
• Successful experience in at least one project in developing application components using JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks;
• Expert knowledge of web technologies, thorough extensive working experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and at least one JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.JS, Bootstrap and AngularJS);
• Thorough understanding and experience in working with Rest API in JavaScript;
• JavaScript mobile applications development;
• Fluent in English;
