Solution Architect

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Solution Architect, to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Car Software Development Solution in initiatives that span into the neighboring departments (e.g. R&D) and strategic partnerships
• Drive and implement overarching IT architectural guidelines, support IT architectural work in the products and IT architectural work cross several organizations
• Be a guide in your particular field and a go-to person for setting strategic directions within it
• Be a mentor, role model and co-driver for senior engineers and leaders in the organization
• Encourage sound engineering practices while driving our technical strategy and roadmaps
• Be a doer and inspiring leader in the company-wide engineering community
• Demonstrate and champion an appetite for knowledge and never stop developing as an Engineer and leader

Knowledge/Experience

Who you are:

• Someone with extensive proven experience as a technical leader (formal or informal) for a large organization
• You see strong and transparent collaboration with people, communities and organizations as a key success factor
• Someone that have solid previous experience in working hands-on as a Senior Software Engineer in an agile environment, and still love doing it (when time allows)
• A person that enjoys collaborating with all levels of engineering-, product- and UX leaders to build outstanding products
• You fully adopt a growth mindset and can encourage others to do the same
• You get a kick out of mentoring and supporting your fellow engineers and teams, so they can grow to their full potential
• You understand the importance of having enterprise solutions that is scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound; you care about quality, and you know what it means to ship high quality code
• You can comfortably navigate ambiguity and when required have the ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making
• A compassionate person who understands that every individual and situation have their specific needs and can adapt your leadership style and interactions accordingly

Key skills:

• CI/CD toolchain; knowledge in building robust and scalable DevOps pipelines. Host tools such as Gerrit, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.
• Cloud knowledge in Azure and AWS.
• Very good knowledge of software development lifecycle (extra merit for in-vehicle or embedded software)
• Scripting and programming background (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc)
• Understanding of software security principles.
• Knowledge and experience in orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Ability to communicate and present architectural solutions to cross-functional teams (developers, security, quality, test).
• Skilled in balancing technical depth with system-level overviews for different stakeholders.

Meriting/nice to have:

• Being familiar with software quality and safety standards such as ISO26262.
• Understanding of car platform software architecture and protocols.
• Knowledge in GitOps, IaC and infrastructure automation.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge in data management principles and setting up service health checks and pipeline observability.
