Senior Project Manager - Data and Analytics

Job Title: Project Manager — Data & Analytics Delivery - 12 Months Plus Extensions

Overview:

The Data Project Manager is an integral part of a program of work focused on the development of foundational data assets, data insights, and reporting products and data pipeline related projects.

The role will support the Agency’s strategic goals by managing and coordinating activity and dependencies across internal data product development squads, Service Design and Platform teams. The role will require close coordination with the IT function, with the Data & Analytics Branch, and broad stakeholder engagement, planning and communication across the agency

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate planning activities for data assets, data and insights products and reporting solutions across cross-functional agile delivery squads or project teams.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, balancing technical dependencies, business requirements and other priorities.
• Deliver all components of the project solution, working with other Agency teams to develop data solutions for which Data & Analytics is responsible.
• Represent the project in Data and Analytics Change Management activities and release planning.
• Ensure Data & Analytics design, coding, quality and standards are met, including Go/No-Go gates.
• Actively manage delivery of the project using tools including MS Project, JIRA and Confluence including management of plans, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and key decisions.
• Publish regular Status Reports on project progress.
• Maintain a positive collaborative team environment including business and technical stakeholders.
• Provide delivery leadership to project teams, including conformance to delivery best practices, standards and methods.
• Be a champion for continuous improvement, leveraging deep experience in data product project delivery.
