Cloud Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Software Engineer with a diverse skill set, including Spring Boot, OpenStack, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker, Linux, Python, Rust, Go, Cassandra, and Linux Bash. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based software, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Microservices and Web Applications Development: Develop microservices and web applications using Spring Boot, Golang with OOP principles.

• Project Dependencies and Build Management: Manage project dependencies and build processes using Maven.

• Database Management: Possess knowledge of RDBMS (preferably PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (preferably Cassandra or Mongo DB).

• Messaging Systems: Understand messaging queues (preferably Kafka or RabbitMQ).

• Containerization: Write Docker files for containerization.

• Test Driven Development: Knowledge of the Test Driven Development (TDD) paradigm is preferred.

• Java Unit Testing: Experience with Java unit testing is a plus.

• Linux Development: Utilize Linux for development tasks.

• Distributed Storage Solutions: Knowledge of distributed storage solutions using Ceph is preferred.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Nexus to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

• Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts and automation using Python, Rust, and Linux Bash.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications, databases, and messaging systems.

• Code Reviews and Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement practices.

• Industry Trends and Technologies: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot: Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, GOlang and OOP code development.

• Hands-on Experience with Maven: Experience with Maven for project management.

• DB Knowledge: Experience with RDBMS and NOSQL (PostgreSQL ,Mongo DB and Cassandra preferred).

• Messaging Queue Experience: Experience with messaging queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ preferred).

• Docker Experience: Experience in writing Docker files.

• Linux Development Environment: Experience with Linux for software development.

• CI/CD Tools and Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins and Nexus.

• Scripting and Automation Skills: Experience with Python, Rust, and Linux Bash for scripting and automation.

• IAAS Solutions Knowledge: Knowledge of IAAS solutions such as OpenStack, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.

• Problem-solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Network Protocols and Security: Understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

• KVM Knowledge: Knowledge of KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine).

• Linux Kernel Knowledge: Understanding of the Linux kernel.

• Certifications: Certification in OpenStack or related technologies (CKA, CKAD, RHCE is a big plus).
