Lead Mainframe Security Specialist

Location: Oslo

As a Lead Mainframe zSecurity System Administrator (ACF2), you will play a key role in securing critical systems, solving complex security challenges, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee security operations, work with top-tier clients, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance mainframe security and mitigate risks.

No two days are the same—you’ll be managing systems data, responding to security incidents, and providing proactive solutions to strengthen security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for mainframe environments

✅ Oversee compliance, auditing, and security health checks, delivering reports on behalf of the customer

✅ Manage certificate renewals and implementations in mainframe environments

✅ Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats

✅ Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of mainframe operations

✅ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members

✅ Stay ahead of the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements

What You Bring:

✅5+ years of experience in mainframe security administration

✅Expertise in ACF2 administration (user management, access control, security policies)

✅Strong knowledge of mainframe security principles and z/OS systems

✅Familiarity with security tools and technologies used in mainframe environments

✅Fluent in English (must-have)

✔️Nice to Have:

• Experience with RACF or Top Secret.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and data protection methods
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX)
