NodeJS Developer

Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a NodeJS Developer for a long term opportunity at Toronto, ON (Hybrid Position).

Our client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. The bank serves over 17 million clients and has more than 89,000 employees worldwide. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.

Job Title: NodeJS Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (3 Days onsite /Week)

Long-Term Contract

Client: Banking/Financial

Required Skills and Experience:

• Overall 7+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Node.js Developer.
• Experience with Kafka or other message queuing systems.
• Strong background in Node.js development, including asynchronous programming, event loops, and streams.
• Strong background in SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server), including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Extensive experience with API development (RESTful APIs, GraphQL), including design, implementation, and documentation.
• Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of security best practices in web application development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices (CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
