Job Title: Product Designer
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 9-month Contract
Work Type: Hybrid (Remote + Onsite in Toronto)
Pay Range: C$55 - C$65/Hr

Overview:

• We're seeking a seasoned Product Designer for a 9-month contract opportunity with a leading financial services client.
• The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in responsive web design, user research, and system-based design thinking, and thrive in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design functional, accessible, and visually engaging user journeys
• Deliver user experiences that align with business goals and customer data
• Work within and contribute to the evolution of an established design system
• Conduct end-to-end user research including usability, interaction, and information architecture
• Collaborate with content designers, strategists, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Present and articulate design decisions clearly to all levels of the organization
• Maintain creativity and pragmatism within tight timelines and evolving constraints

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in UX, UI, or product design roles, focused on responsive web applications
• Skilled in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and storytelling
• Hands-on experience with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of user interface best practices for both web and mobile
• Experience conducting user research using tools like UserZoom or UserTesting
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how design translates to front-end development
• Effective communicator who can clearly present designs to both technical and business audiences
• Comfortable working independently and iteratively in an Agile environment
• Previous experience in financial services or similar regulated industries is a strong asset
