Software Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:

As part of PHCC’s vision to lead in transforming health and wellbeing in Qatar, the Software Development Specialist plays a key role in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining software applications across DMS, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering functional, scalable, and user-centric applications that improve operational efficiency and enhance digital services delivery.

This role involves information architecture design, application lifecycle management, user requirement analysis, and ensuring operational continuity of assigned software platforms, aligning with PHCC’s commitment to excellence and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

🧩 Process Management & Application Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for production apps built on DMS, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of product operations including support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement.
• Handle knowledge transfer and takeover of production systems developed in .NET and hosted in Azure environments.

⚙️ Technical Development & Deployment

• Develop customized and out-of-the-box solutions using web parts, forms, templates, and master pages.
• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain enterprise applications.
• Ensure successful manual and automated deployment processes.
• Adopt new tools and technologies to improve performance and development efficiency.

🧠 Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders and IT management to analyze system requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Create visual models such as wireframes, flowcharts, and use cases to support application design and usability testing.

📈 Compliance & Monitoring

• Monitor production systems to ensure performance, availability, and integrity.
• Implement alerts and support mechanisms for issue detection and resolution.
• Ensure applications comply with PHCC’s security, performance, and usability standards.

✅ Patient Safety & Confidentiality

• Proactively contribute to PHCC’s patient safety efforts by identifying and mitigating risks in assigned systems.
• Follow all safety-related protocols and maintain high standards of data confidentiality and information security.

📋 Other Duties

• Support additional ICT duties as assigned by the department.
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and risk reviews related to digital health platforms.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in software development (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer, Dynamics 365, Azure).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar software development role.
• Experience with data integration, data conversion, and working in healthcare IT environments is preferred.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SharePoint, DMS, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling and solution architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, team collaboration, and time management.
• Analytical ability to draw logical inferences and solve complex problems.
• Experience in both custom development and low-code/no-code environments.
