Junior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist to support economic/financial market data management processes. The role involves preparing ready-for-use datasets for economists and researchers by cleaning, organising, and standardising data from diverse sources. The candidate will also implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Perfect candidate: The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data science, proficiency in Python and Matlab, and familiarity with statistical tools and techniques. They possess a solid understanding of economics and financial markets to align data management with research objectives. Additionally, they demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Clean, organise, and standardise data from diverse sources.
• Prepare ready-for-use datasets for economists and researchers.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Interpret and manage data in alignment with research objectives.
  
  

Must haves:

• Strong foundation in data science as a Data Scientist/Research Analyst.
• Proficiency in Python and Matlab
• Familiarity with statistical tools and techniques
• Solid understanding of economics and financial markets
