Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Gothenburg (Hybrid – On-site required a few days per week)

Aurora Engineering is currently looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join one of our clients on an exciting project-based assignment. In this role, you will support one or two ongoing data-driven initiatives focused on complex analytics and method development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve exploratory data analysis, developing analytical methods, visualizing findings, and communicating insights to key stakeholders. You may also contribute to automating and supporting the productionalization of Data Science workflows.

The projects involve techniques such as geographical clustering, trajectory analysis, recommendation systems, and advanced data aggregation. You will work alongside experienced Data Scientists within a collaborative and technically strong team.

• Conduct exploratory analysis of large datasets
• Develop and validate innovative analytical and data science methods
• Create compelling visualizations and compile findings for stakeholders
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and collaborate across technical roles
• Support automation and operationalization of data science workflows
  

• Strong experience with Python for data analysis, method development, and visualization
• Proven ability in exploratory data analysis and working with large datasets
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Experience with positioning/geospatial data is advantageous
• Familiarity with AWS and Databricks is a plus
• Knowledge of MLOps and automation of Data Science pipelines is beneficial

• Hybrid setup: You will be expected to be on-site in Gothenburg a few days per week
• Collaborative work with a technically strong data science team
