Network Engineer

Vertical Scope Group (VSG) are continuing to grow our team, and we are looking for a driven and highly skilled, security cleared Network Engineers to join our award-winning team in delivering services to our customer in the National Security Community.

This is a unique opportunity to work within an advanced and security focused position. Due to the security sensitive nature of the position, specific details can only be shared with shortlisted candidates.

About You

• Proven experience in network design, implementation, and management.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications theory, practice, and experience.
• Proficiency in programming with cloud-based languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of cloud technology, automation, and orchestration tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., SDN, NFV).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

About the Role

• Lead the design, build, test and operation of networks services in a multi-vendor environment
• Conduct requirement traceability and prioritisation activities, and determine the feasibility of individual requirements in order to support the design of elements of the system
• Plan the configuration, implementation, automation and testing of an enterprise gateway environment, adhering to security policy and compliance
• Provide assistance in the development, support and management of monitoring systems for networks
• Implement, configure, and maintain (including leading change activities), of switches, routers and firewalls in a multi-vendor environment
