Network Support Engineer

Senior Network Support Engineer (Hybrid-Vancouver) Up to $100,000 Base

Role Overview:

The Senior Network Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise network environments with a focus on routing, switching, and firewall systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet technologies, and a proactive mindset for solving complex network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior escalation point for Level 3 network incidents, handling advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Maintain, configure, and optimize routing and switching infrastructure for multiple client environments.
• Manage and support firewall systems, including rule base management, policy tuning, and VPN configurations.
• Lead or contribute to network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Participate in structured change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption and full documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement secure and scalable network solutions.
• Monitor network performance and security, using industry best practices and tools to identify and resolve anomalies.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and network diagrams.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in network support and administration, including complex troubleshooting.
• Advanced understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet hardware and software.
• Proficiency with firewall technologies, VPN configuration, and network segmentation best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based change and incident management processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including experience in client-facing roles.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

• Cisco CCNP (or equivalent)
• Fortinet NSE certifications
• Meraki CMNA
