Engineering Manager Mobile iOS

About the Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our client in the Secure Communications sector. This person will lead a team of experienced iOS Engineers working on a privacy-first mobile application used by governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure providers. You’ll help shape product direction, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of secure, high-quality mobile software in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of iOS engineers, fostering growth, autonomy, and performance
• Collaborate with product teams to define roadmaps and deliverables aligned to strategic goals
• Guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security across the iOS platform
• Drive initiatives to improve developer experience and technical infrastructure
• Oversee delivery timelines, remove blockers, and ensure smooth execution
• Continuously improve internal workflows and cross-team collaboration
• Act as a coach and mentor, promoting a culture of learning and accountability

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Engineering Management, leading high-performing teams
• 7+ years of experience in mobile development, with strong understanding of app architecture and scalability
• Solid background in iOS technologies and Apple’s ecosystem
• Proven track record in delivering complex projects in high-throughput environments
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, align, and grow engineering teams
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication abilities
• Comfortable working in English within cross-functional, international teams

This role is based in Berlin, with flexible hybrid working options. Candidates must have the right to work in Germany without sponsorship.
