Senior Business Analyst – WSS-TRM (Wall Street Suite Treasury Management System)

Role Overview

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Wall Street Suite (WSS) Treasury Management System – TRM Module for a long-term assignment based in Luxembourg and across the EU.

The successful candidate will work as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and project delivery teams, supporting the analysis, documentation, and testing phases across multiple streams of a Treasury Transformation Programme.

This is a hybrid role requiring 30% onsite presence in Luxembourg, with the flexibility of remote work for the remainder.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Process Analysis:
• Review documented business issues and understand current end-to-end treasury business processes.
• Conduct detailed gap analysis between current and target states.
• Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement:
• Prepare and lead requirements-gathering workshops with Back Office users, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and dependencies.
• Facilitate clear communication between business, IT teams, and project stakeholders, especially in transversal (cross-functional) projects.
• Requirements Documentation:
• Produce high-quality business requirement documents (BRD), use case documentation, and functional specifications.
• Analyse user requirements and translate them into actionable project deliverables.
• Project Planning & Governance:
• Develop business cases for new functionalities or modules, including detailed RACI matrices.
• Assist in preparing high-level project implementation plans, fine-tuning them as the project evolves.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
• Define high-level test scenarios and detailed test cases to support IAT (Internal Acceptance Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Support test execution, defect tracking, and resolution in coordination with IT and business users.
• Change Management:
• Assist business teams in defining and documenting process changes and updating procedures.
• Support issue resolution and document workarounds for business users.
• Facilitate business readiness for go-live, including training, documentation, and change adoption activities.
• Collaboration with IT:
• Work with IT teams during design, development, and testing phases.
• Ensure functional requirements are understood and translated effectively into system configurations or developments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably in a Treasury or Back Office environment.
• In-depth functional knowledge of Wall Street Suite (WSS-TRM), specifically:
• Transaction Management Module
• Back Office Modules
• Exposure to Deal & Confirmation (D&C) and Accounting Module (ACM) would be advantageous.
• Proven experience with WSS-TRM setup and understanding of customer-specific developments.
• Hands-on experience in use case and test case documentation.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, especially IAT and UAT.
• Working knowledge of Jira and/or SmartIT for project tracking and issue management.
