About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to join our mobile team and shape the future of human-centered health technology. This is a high-impact role where you will lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable features for our iOS app — especially those involving complex mobile-cloud synchronization challenges.

You will be working across product areas on end-to-end to seamless data flow between device and backend, and work closely with cloud, data, and product teams to ensure reliable cross-platform experiences for millions of users worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and build scalable, high-performance iOS features and systems across squads.
• Take full ownership of synchronization between the app and backend services — including data persistence, sync protocols, conflict resolution, and offline reliability.
• Collaborate with the cloud engineering team to co-design interfaces, APIs, and sync strategies that deliver consistent and performant user experiences.
• Act as a technical authority for mobile-cloud interactions, driving architectural and implementation best practices.
• Work with Combine and DispatchQueue to build responsive, thread-safe, and efficient asynchronous systems.
• Deliver thoughtful technical documentation, participate in cross-team design reviews, and mentor peers on synchronization patterns and mobile data flows.
• Support feature work by scoping and delivering core synchronization infrastructure improvements.
• Identify system-level pain points, reduce technical debt, and raise the bar for engineering quality and operational excellence.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of iOS development experience using Swift and related frameworks.
• Expertise in handling time-series data, mobile persistence, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy principles, including encryption, secure storage, and end-user data handling.
• Experience building mobile-to-cloud synchronization systems, with background sync, offline handling, and retries.
• Strong command of concurrency and reactive frameworks on iOS, especially:
• Combine for declarative, reactive data flow
• DispatchQueue for thread management and task coordination
• Demonstrated experience owning and delivering complex, high-impact projects across multiple teams.
• Clear communicator and empathetic collaborator who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment.
