Senior Java Developer

📍Hybrid | Utrecht Region | Long-term Freelance/Contract

For one of our trusted clients, I’m looking for a Senior Java Developer – Backend Focus to join a secure, multidisciplinary development team working on high-impact services that support national operations. This is a long-term freelance opportunity where your code will help shape systems used daily across the Netherlands.

🛠 Tech Stack & Tools

• Java (JEE, JPA, Spring)
• JBoss, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Git, Sonar
• SOAP Webservices, XML/XSD, JAXB
• Oracle DB, Stored Procedures

✅ What You’ll Be Doing

• Enhance and expand a critical backend application
• Tackle technical debt and strengthen infrastructure & monitoring
• Deploy and manage builds via CI/CD
• Collaborate with DBAs, Linux admins, POs, and Scrum teams

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on Java backend experience
• Proven experience with SOAP web services and XML/XSD structures
• CI/CD expertise with Maven, Jenkins, and JBoss
• Strong grasp of relational databases (Oracle preferred)
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
