If you are a .NET Dev in the North West/Yorkshire, I urge you to read on. This is the best mid-level job on the market!

This role is for one of the biggest private product-focused companies in the UK. They turn over £100s of millions a year.

The reason I mention private is that they aren't at the mercy of investors. It is all about how to make tech better, so they never cut corners or costs.

They have also never made anyone redundant, either. Which in today's market is HUGE.

I can guarantee you have heard of them before, or even seen their adverts on TV.

This role is 100% remote! They like to hire within and locally to Manchester to still maintain an office/dev culture.

You'll join a team of around 50 Developers who are all based in the North West. They do have an open-door policy office in Manchester City Centre that you can use anytime.

A nice touch is that they have a Slack channel that lets you know who is in the office!

They are looking for developers who have worked with:

• C#/.NET
• SQL – Entity Framework ideally
• Azure
• Test Driven Development
• Microservices

They are open to any cloud-related experience.

You don't need experience with the following, but they are huge on Domain-Driven Design and will teach you how to do this through pair programming from Senior and Lead Engineers.

I have personally placed 8 devs, and Tact has placed 23 devs here. Practically all of them still work there and have been promoted to Senior or Lead.

Promotion here is like no other. If you do good work, they will promote you within 12–18 months.

They like to joke that you don't have to wait for someone to get hit by a bus to move up. Good work is genuinely appreciated here and rewarded.

So if you are tenacious and have big aspirations, then this role is for you – as you will be fully supported. They look for coders who don’t sit at the keyboard trying to fix a bug for hours and tap away. They want a dev who will ask for help, fail fast, or grab a book from the side.

They also don’t hire Seniors or Lead Engineers externally; they like to train and promote in-house. For example, the Head of Dev joined as a Lead Engineer.
