About Financial Remediation

The Financial Remediation department exists to ensure that all delinquent customers are contacted and appropriately followed up regarding their overdue payments. These customers hold existing credit facilities with the bank. The department is assigned monthly targets that contribute to achieving the organization's overall objectives.

The Financial Remediation Unit plays a critical role in ensuring that provisioning numbers are met and that product flow targets are achieved, ultimately contributing to the bank’s revenue generation. Follow-up efforts on delinquent accounts are carried out at the FR Centre and span across all product lines, including personal loans, credit cards, and auto loans.

About The Role

The incumbent plays a vital role in supporting the Financial Remediation (FR) Unit by driving operational excellence and strengthening business support functions. This role is key in enhancing process effectiveness, monitoring operational performance, identifying gaps, and supporting initiatives that improve service delivery and overall business outcomes.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the incumbent will be responsible for developing operational dashboards, support activities that provide clear visibility into key decision making which enables proactive issue resolution, improves coordination across teams, and drives efficiency and effectiveness within the department.

What You'll Do:

  • Overseeing the monitoring of key operational metrics across portfolios and initiating corrective or improvement actions based on performance trends.
  • Supporting business operations by identifying effective strategies to manage delinquent accounts, balancing customer experience with commercial priorities.
  • Ensuring operational excellence using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI to create impactful dashboards, business reports, and presentations.
  • Addressing operational challenges by recommending practical solutions to improve returns from accounts in default, while managing costs and resource effort.
  • Mapping end-to-end operational workflows within the Financial Remediation (FR) function to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinating cross-functional support for the assimilation and validation of business processes and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Translating operational data into actionable business insights that help guide decisions across various functions.
  • Interpreting business requirements from different teams and translating them into tailored operational solutions that enhance service delivery.
  • Providing timely and accurate business performance reports, including collections dashboards and ad hoc analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Designing and implementing operational reporting frameworks to monitor and track performance against defined service benchmarks and SLAs.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of collections operations, aligning support activities with broader business objectives and operational goals

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in report & end to end tool automation and preferably in collection strategy
  • 3 years of experience creating dashboards, presentations and excellent problem- solving skills.
  • Experience in a similar role within Financial Services business or Social Enterprise is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of PowerBI, Python and decision tree models
  • Expert Knowledge on MS office VBA front-end and back-end database development, maintenance (SQL Query, Excel VBA, SAS, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Analytical, logical reasoning and extrapolation capabilities and the ability to translate research and analysis into reasoned recommendations, presentations, and reports.
