My new client is looking for a freelance Full stack developer to join on a 6 month contract. The successful candidate needs to be based in Belgium, hybrid working.

The candidate should be able to perform tasks described below:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern full-stack technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-sectional teams.
• Participate in architecture design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Address and resolve technical issues and requests submitted via the Service Desk ticketing system.
• Administer and maintain GitLab/GitHub repositories, including user permissions, CI/CD configurations, and project organization.
• Administer Atlassian tools (such as Jira, Confluence) including user management, workflows, permissions, and integrations.

Required skills and abilities:

• Minimum 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, React.js/Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3.
• Solid back-end experience with one or more languages: Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in working with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience managing Git-based repositories and collaboration platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
