Lecturer – Immersive Applications & Game [ITE College Central]

[What the role is]

As a Lecturer, your contributions go beyond teaching and facilitating learning. You will play a critical role in recognising and nurturing your students’ potential and their lifelong learning needs.

[What you will be working on]

In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes in industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools. You will also have the opportunity to have industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills, knowledge and practices of your profession.

We invite highly qualified candidates with at least two of the following areas of technical expertise:

• Game Design and/or Development
• Human-Centric Design and/or Gamification
• Computer Art, Interface, and/or Interaction Design
• Location-Based and/or Geo-Spatial Visualisation
• Interactive Media Design
• Generative Art
• Virtual Production
• UX/UI Design and Design Thinking
• Virtual and Augmented Reality
• Develops, designs, and continuously improves curriculum documents including, course outlines, course content, assessment procedures and instruments, to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement.
• Facilitates and conducts all teaching assignments and learning activities for both face-to-face and online delivery.
• Supports academic administration such as course evaluation, internship placement and coordination activities, student performance and attendance statistics tracking, and academic counselling on students’ progress and development.
• Carries out assigned service duties to the College, and the public at large.
• Participates in student development and mentoring through outreach programmes, co-curricular activities, and community services.
  
  
  

[What we are looking for]

You should possess credential(s) and/or qualification(s) in the related respective field(s) with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience with working knowledge in application/content design and development for Unity, Unreal, and/or equivalent (real-time) game engines.

You are technically proficient in one or more of the following languages/platforms: C#, PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Autodesk Maya, and Blender. Practical familiarity with VR, AR, Geo-Spatial, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts will be greatly advantageous.

You are an independent motivated individual who is, a good and patient communicator, an excellent team player, and, passionate about teaching and developing learners.

Those with good and relevant experience can look forward to Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development opportunities to leadership positions in the Colleges or Headquarters.
