A position has opened for a Senior Go Engineer in the Cloud domain, specifically within the Data Services area. We are looking for a passionate backend engineer with strong Go skills who enjoys building systems from the ground up and approaches development with a security-first mindset.
You will work in a forward-thinking engineering team responsible for providing automated data infrastructure services used by hundreds of internal developers. Your work will directly contribute to high-availability systems that are essential for core business applications. This is a greenfield opportunity where you’ll help shape a backend platform from the ground up, with a strong focus on automation, security, and developer experience.
You’ll also play a key role in maintaining and owning a critical API that enables internal teams to self-service their data needs. Your responsibilities include implementing new features, improving performance, monitoring production systems, and proactively supporting platform users.
You’ll be part of a collaborative Agile environment that encourages experimentation, autonomy, and continuous improvement. Engineers are given the space and responsibility to make architectural decisions, bring in new ideas, and take full ownership of the code they ship.
Your Role
As a Go Engineer, you will focus on building and improving a backend API that enables provisioning and lifecycle management of data infrastructure (such as database clusters) for internal users. You’ll help shape the platform’s functionality, security posture, and user experience.
You will:
- Build, test, and document new features for the API backend (written in Go).
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and maintainable.
- Write technical documentation and contribute to security controls and compliance.
- Own the full development lifecycle, from design to monitoring in production.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure engineers to ensure seamless integration with platform components.
- Proactively support and communicate with internal platform users.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced engineering environment where decisions have real impact, and where your contributions directly improve the developer experience across the organization.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is both hands-on and thoughtful, with a desire to build smart solutions for complex environments. You have:
- At least 3 years of experience with Go (Golang), including core libraries.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Helm (ideally OpenShift 4).
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with software security best practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10).
- Experience working with Linux (RHEL 8/9) environments.
- Knowledge of microservices and modern API design.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Excellent communication and soft skills.
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to take technical ownership.
Your Background
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in Platform-as-a-Service or Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
- Proven ability to work in high-performance Agile teams.
- Relevant certifications or demonstrable experience.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
