Senior Developer – (Hybrid – Brussels HQ)

We’re looking for a skilled Developer to join a dynamic, cross-functional Agile team focused on delivering end-to-end digital solutions for the energy sector. Your work will support critical operations such as customer onboarding, demand processing, flow planning, network balancing, billing, and reporting across multiple European energy infrastructure operators.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components using modern backend technologies (.NET 8, ASP.NET Web API, WCF)
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and propose improvements for reliability and performance
• Implement automated tests, participate in testing, and uphold coding standards
• Support release preparation and assist in deployment and troubleshooting activities
• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies and help prioritize backlog items focused on delivering business value
• Provide timely support for functional and technical service requests

Technical skills & experience:

• Strong experience with .NET stack, SQL Server, Oracle, RabbitMQ, NHibernate, Entity Framework
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and design patterns
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of Git, automated deployment, and monitoring tools
• Blazor experience is a plus
• Comfortable working with large, complex codebases and modern testing strategies
• Fluent English; proficiency in French or Dutch, with willingness to improve the other

Location & contract details:

• Based at Brussels HQ with hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
• Initial 3-month contract starting ASAP, with strong potential for extension up to 3 years.
